Scan app requires the download and installation of the following client-side utilities:
- KWizCom Client Agent
This utility allows the Scan app to communicate with the user's local computer to pass scan parameters and upload the scanned files to SharePoint.
- KWizCom Scan Client
This utility enables managing scan profiles and communicate with the local/netwrok scanners.
- OCR package
In case users need OCR to work with additional languages to English, use this package to add the additional languages you need.
When an end-user clicks “Scan Documents” button in a SharePoint library for the first time, he will be prompted to download and install these utilitites listed above.
If end-users are not allowed to install utilities in their desktops, not connected to the Internet, or if you'd like to automate installation using GPO, you can use the available offline installers for these utilities:

Post installation - configure scan profiles
Before user can use the scan app, a scan profile must be created, to connect the app to one of the available local/network scanners.
To create/update scan profile on the user's desktop click the "KWizCom Scan client" icon in the Windows tray.
The "Profiles" window will appear:
To create a new scan profile, click the "New" button:

Give the profile a name, select the connect scanner device and configure the other standard scan properties according to your preferences. Click "OK" to save the scan profile.
That's it - you can now use the Scan app with the selected Scan profile.
