View Permissions

View Permissions App is part of KWizCom Forms App (Pro. edition).

With the View Permissions app you can set up rules that hide selected list/library views from users/groups, according to dynamic conditions.
Example:

We have the following "Sales Leads" list, which includes 2 views: "All Items" and "My leads"
With the View Permissions app we can configure a rule that hides the "All Items" view from all users, except from the Sales manager, so when a sales person views this list he will see only the "My leads" view:


Configuring view permissions

The following screenshot displays the View Permissions settings page:

This settings page allows you to create View Permission rules.

To setup a View Permission rule:

1.   Select list view/s for which you wish to set up a rule:
 
 

2.   Create a new rule by clicking the “new rule” link:



a new rule definition section will appear:
 

3.   To setup a rule you need to:

a.  Select the list view to apply permissions and the permission type (show or hide).
 

b.  Setup conditions
These conditions define when the view permission rule should be applied:

 


4.   After you save the rule by clicking “Apply” or “Save” this rule will appear below the “All Rules” section:

To edit an existing rule, simply click the “Edit” link appearing on the left side of each existing rule.
