Without leaving your SharePoint site, you can easily scan documents into a library, or attach them to a list item, by using integrated scanning menus.

With the multi-lingual OCR feature, you can (Pro. edition):
- Save your scanned files as searchable PDF files
- Extract values from defined areas in the scanned papers into their matching SharePoint library columns (Zonal OCR)
- Configure a document separator, which will be used when you bulk-scan multiple documents (such as invoices, purchase orders etc.), and wish for each to get a separate file in SharePoint.
